Insurance & Security
All members must have valid insurance cover for third party risks before
taking part in sailing from the Club site. Members, their guests and
visitors may use the Club site premises and any other facility of the Club
entirely at their own risk and with the implied agreement that:-
a) The Club will not accept any liability for any damage to, or loss of
property belonging to members, guests or visitors to the Club
b) The Club will not accept any liability for personal injury arising out
of the use of the Club premises and any other facility of the Club
either sustained by members, their guests or visitors or caused by
the said member, guests or visitors whether or not such damage or
injury could have been attributed to or was occasioned by neglect,
default or negligence of any of them, the Officers, Committee or
Servants of the Club
We have a very low incidence of theft or other crime on site compared with
other Clubs in the UK. This may be put down to the care we take to
discourage crime by providing locks on the gate, Club buildings etc. These
systems are useless if Club members do not strictly adhere to closing the
gate and lock-up – particularly during the daytime and when on the water.
We appeal to all members to keep the site and buildings secure. In
addition members are advised not to encourage crime by leaving
valuables on site. Trailers must be removed from site and certainly locked
and boats be stored on trolleys – sails and foils should be taken home.
